Free Enterprise Week brings nearly 1400 high school students to the
Lycoming College campus over a four-week period.
This represents the largest group of students ever in the 21-
year history of program that introduces students to the American
free enterprise system through an intensive one-week that has
students running their own "companies" while living in
Lycoming College residence halls.
The program draws students from 58 different Pennsylvania
counties. In Lycoming County, students from Bishop Newmann,
Hughesville, Jersey Shore, Loyalsock, Montoursville, Muncy, South
Williamsport and Williamsport high schools will participate.
All of the students are on scholarships that are provided by by
547 different busineess and organizations in the state.
The PFEW program is administered by the Foundation for Free
Enterprise Education, based in Erie, Pennsylvania. President and CEO
of the program is John Trombetta.
