The Lycoming
College Chapter of Habitat for Humanity will hold its annual “Run
for Shelter” 5K run and fun walk on Sunday, November 13 at 1:00 pm.
All proceeds will go towards the annual spring break trip for the
Lycoming College Chapter.
The race, a
3.1-mile loop, will begin at Lycoming College’s College Place and
will go through Brandon Park, ending back at College Place. There will be a water station at the
halfway point.
Registration
will be at 12 pm on the day of the race. T-shirts are given while
supplies last. Walkers begin at 1pm, and runners begin at 1:30 pm.
Participants can enter individually, or sign-up with a team. Teams
consist of four people, and they are categorized as high school,
college, and an open category. An award will be given to the first
place team. |
Awards also go
to the first male and female overall, first three male and female
walkers, as well as the first place winner in each age division. The
group divisions are male and female groups of 15 and under, 16-19,
20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. There will also be a
fun run for, children, as well as door prizes.
Pre-registration forms will be accepted no later than November 1,
and should be sent to Sara Bartlett at Lycoming College, Box 275. |
