| Lycoming
College joins the ranks of Harvard, Swarthmore, Bucknell, Johns
Hopkins and 400 other colleges by being included in the 2002-2003 edition of Competitive
Colleges, a guide published by Thomson Peterson's.
In addition to the traditional Ivy
League colleges, the guide includes a broad spectrum of other colleges.
The 400 colleges selected for inclusion in the book routinely
attract and admit an above-average share of the nation's
high-achieving students.
This is the first time Lycoming has
been included in the guide published by Peterson's, a well known
publisher of educational guides. Last year Lycoming was
re-classified by U.S. News and World Report as a national liberal
arts college.
Founded in 1812, Lycoming is one of
the 50 oldest colleges in the nation.
