| The
Lycoming College Art Gallery opens with an exhibition by John
Fell, a British-born artist now teaching at Elmira College in
Elmira, N.Y.
His one-man show will open on September 5 with at reception and gallery talk from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. The show continues through October 4.
Fell served as a camouflage artists in North Africa, Greece and Italy during WWII and earned a teaching degree from London University. Fell came to the United States in 1957 and continued his art education at Elmira College and Alfred University. He taught for 22 years in Elmira public schools and Elmira College. His award-winning work has been exhibited widely. The art gallery is located on the main floor of the John G. Snowden Library. The gallery hours are during normal library hours: Monday through Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday from 8:00 to 4:30 p.m.; Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 to 11:00 p.m. ###
