Every one of Lycoming’s five spring sports produced
at least one All-Conference athlete. Ten players received
recognition, including four first team honorees.
The Lady Warrior lacrosse team, which advanced to
the second round of the Middle Atlantic Conference playoffs, placed
four players on All-MAC teams. Sophomore midfielder Sarah
Wingerden (Macedon, N.Y.) and senior defender Erin Dillon
(Bayside, N.Y.) garnered first team accolades, while junior
Megan Wallenhorst (Rochester, N.Y.) and freshman Megan
McIntyre (Baltimore, Md.) claimed two of the three second team
attack spots.
Men’s lacrosse saw sophomore defender J.P. Earp
(Hilltop Lakes, Texas) make first team All-MAC, while juniors
Dan Cannon (Orangeville, Ontario) and Jim Cusick (Aston, Pa.)
earned second team recognition.
Senior tennis player Mike Byerly (West Milton,
Pa.) received first team All-Freedom Conference accolades, while
senior centerfielder Missy McCoy (Williamsport, Pa.) landed
second team All-Freedom honors. Finally, senior golfer Ryan
Nelson (Whitehouse Station, N.J.) also made second team
All-Conference for his tenth place finish at the MAC Tournament.
For the four seniors on this list, it was a terrific
way to finish their careers at Lycoming. As for the continuing
student-athletes, their coaches are glad to have them back next
year.
