Habitat for Humanity Hosts Annual 5K Run

The Lycoming College Chapter of Habitat for Humanity will hold its annual “Run for Shelter” 5K run and fun walk on Sunday, November 9 at 1:00 P.M.  All proceeds go toward funding the Habitat Collegiate Challenge Spring Break trip and the Lycoming Chapter house that is being built on the corner of Baldwin and Eldred Streets.

The race, a 3.1-mile loop, will begin at Lycoming College’s Robert Shangraw Athletic Complex (Person Field) and will go through Brandon Park, ending back at the stadium.  There will be a water station at the halfway point.  Awards will be given to the first male and female overall as well as to the first place winner in each age division.  The groups are divided into 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. 

The entry fee is $10 for pre-entry by November 1^st 2002, $12 for registration on the day of the race, and $5 for students.  Registration will be from 11:30am-12:45pm on the day of the race.  T-shirts will be given as supplies last.
