To kick off the 2004 Senior Class Project, eight
members of the faculty, staff, and student body vied for the honor
of kissing a pig. The participant who raised the most money, Dr.
Mehrdad Madresehee was the lucky winner, who kissed a pig at
halftime during the football game November 8.
Members of the senior class have also received
piggy banks in their mailboxes, provided by M&T Bank. Throughout the
year, seniors are encouraged to collect spare change in these banks,
and donate the coins to the project at a semi-annual "Pig Dump
Party."
The Senior Class Project, which has been a
long standing tradition at Lycoming College, funds a gift to the
college. This year's gift will be one of the most visible ever, a
painting by artist/Professor Roger Shipley.
