Science departments face off in annual softball game

Lycoming's biology and chemistry departments recently held their annual slow-pitch softball game on the Quad. After a slump extending a few years, biology defeated chemistry 24 to 14, according to biology professor Melvin Zimmerman, Ph.D., who is seen here taking a whack at the ball. Zimmerman noted that the chemistry team was missing a "heavy hitter," Jeremy Ramsey, Ph.D., assistant professor of chemistry, who was unable to play due to a broken rib. Ramsey took on the role of photographer for the game and is credited for this photo.
