The Heim Building is considered one of the best facilities in the region. It features laboratories for research in tissue culture, molecular biology, ecology, plant science, endocrinology and radiation biology. There is also an aquarium room, greenhouse and an animal lab.
Because Lycoming is exclusively an undergraduate institution, you have access to all the fancy equipment. In addition, there are plenty of hands-on opportunities. You may find yourself assisting in data collection and analysis of watershed projects with the Clean Water Institute, scuba diving through a shipwreck, zip lining through a jungle canopy, or taking a try at dolphin training in Honduras. |
