Note: The offense of Richard Van Valkenburg is not specified in the journal.  In 1867, Richard Van Valkenburg was one of the founders of Erie CO, in the greater Denver area, naming the town for his previous residence of Erie PA.  The original Methodist Episcopal church building there commemorated his religious work in the community with a stained glass window.
