Taber after 1917, and he did not follow through on his transfer back to the Wyoming Conference.  It is known that Mrs. Taber died in Providence RI in 1927.

Note:  Joseph Towner is the father of Isaac Pratt Towner and the brother of Rev. Benjamin Towner (1803-1866), affiliation unknown, who was also known as a great singer.  Joseph is, through noted musician son John Griffin Towner (1825-1870), the grandfather of the even more noted gospel songwriter Daniel Brink Towner (1850-1919).  As Joseph Towner is named in several sources as a “prominent Methodist preacher” and officiated at marriages and funerals after 1828, he apparently continued as a local preacher.
