Artist's Statement

While working on this project, I had many ideas on what I should do. Then the idea came to mind to show how in today's society we still separate ourselves by race or color or religion. I wanted to show that no matter where we were born or where our parents came from, we all live in the same country. I am not preaching tolerance as much as I am stating that we need understanding. We are all American.
