Artist’s Statement

The purpose of my poster is to show acceptance for everyone in our society. Acceptance allows people to get along and “create a community.” If everyone was open-minded and willing to accept others, no matter what, it would be an easier place to live. The hands represent openness and willingness to accept everyone. The figures in the hands represent different types of people and their mouths are open as if to say, “Acceptance creates community.”
