Biodiesel Initiative

Biodiesel

Lycoming College has taken sustainability one step forward with its new biodiesel production facility, developed by Kyle Ruhl, a senior chemistry major, and John Schaffer, Grounds and General Labor Supervisor. The biodiesel facility utilizes fryer oil from the Lycoming cafeteria and converts it into energy useable as fuel for the on-campus vehicles.
