Chapter Development Plan

Chapter Guide

This form is to be used as a guide for Greek chapters submitting reports to the Chapter Development Plan Committee each November 1st.

I. Internal Chapter Operations

A. Administration

1. Describe the frequency of chapter and executive board meetings.

2. Describe the Chapter's committee structure?

3. Does the chapter have a current Constitution and By-laws on file with the Office
    of Student Programs?

4. How often do the officers and/or chapter meet with the chapter advisor(s)?

5. Describe the chapter advisor's involvement?

6. Has the chapter been timely in submitting necessary paperwork to appropriate College 
    officials?

7. List chapter goals. Describe how these goals have been achieved.

B. Leadership Development/Officer Transition

1. List any formal leadership training programs offered by the Office of Student 
    Programs, the Interfraternity Council, or the Panhellenic Council that officers 
    participated in.

2. Describe in detail the officer transition process?

3. Does the chapter have a current officer list on file with the Office of Student 
    Programs?  Date submitted:

4. List all regional and national conferences held by the National/International 
    Organization.  List the name of the conference, location, date, and names/offices 
    of the chapter members who attended.

C. Finances

2. List and describe activities/programs sponsored by other chapters that the chapter 
    has participated in.

3. Describe chapter's efforts to strengthen inter-Greek relations.

B. Campus Involvement

1. Describe chapters' involvement in campus activities outside of the Greek system.

2. Describe chapter's efforts to improve Greek relations within the campus community.

C. Service

1. Describe all Philanthropic projects that the chapter participated in, including money 
    raised, time spent on project, and number of members participating.

2. Describe all Community Service projects that the chapter participated in, including 
    time spent on project and number of members participating.

D. Correspondence with National Office

1. How often has a Consultant or Regional Director visited the chapter?

2. Describe any recommemdations made and the chapter's response to these 
    recommendations.  Include a copy of the consultant's report.

3. Describe the chapter's status with the National Organization.

III. Scholarship

    building activities?

V. Alumni/ae Relations

A. Alumni/ae Advisors

1. Does the chapter have an active Alumni/ae Advisory Board?
    If yes, describe the responsibilities and level of involvement of the alumni/ae 
    advisors.  
    If no, what steps has the chapter taken to develop alumni/ae advisors?

B. Alumni/ae Programming

1. How often does the chapter publish an alumni/ae newsletter?

2. Describe any special events the chapter coordinates for alumni/ae.

VI. Educational and Social Programming

A. Educational Programming

1. Describe in detail the educational programs the chapter has conducted. 
    (i.e. alcohol, sexual assault/date rape, health-related issues, cultural diversity,
    etc.) Note which programs were open to the entire campus.

B. Social Programming

1. Describe in detail the social programs the chapter has conducted. Note which 
    programs were open to the entire campus.

VII. Risk Management

A. Policies

1. Describe chapters risk management plans in terms of alcohol and drug use, 
    sexual abuse, fire, safety, and health standards.

2. Describe how the chapter enforces/upholds the risk management plan.

B. Education

1. Describe the chapter's method of educating members on the risk management 
    plan.
