The Chapter Development Plan (CDP) was created to assess each individual fraternity and sorority chapter based on its internal, external, and risk management operations. The College realizes that many of our fraternity and sorority members are very involved in campus life at Lycoming College. Chapters complete many hours of community service and have many financial obligations. The CDP has been designed for each chapter to reach the standards of excellence set by Lycoming College. The College expects each chapter to pursue standards of excellence each year. Each chapter at Lycoming College is individually unique, but has been founded on four basic principles. The four basic principles are leadership, scholarship, service, and brotherhood or sisterhood. These principles form the foundation from which a chapter can grow and thrive. The concept of the CDP is not meant to be viewed as being competitive in nature but rather viewed as a yearly accreditation process the College requires to ensure both positive progress and the vitality of fraternity and sorority life on the Lycoming College campus.
