LYCOMING WOMEN’S TENNIS SNEAKS BY SCRANTON

In doubles play, Cricket Temple (Sr./Picture Rocks, PA; Hughesville) and Meredith Moerschbacher (Sr./Montoursville, PA; Montoursville) won a close match in the first position, 8-6. Josemar Castillo (Fr./Maracaibo, Venezuela; Muncy) and Heidi von Schwedler (Jr./Tannersville, PA; Pocono Mountain) added the second victory from the second position, 8-1.

Temple, Moerschbacher, and Castillo also picked up the Warriors’ wins in singles play. Temple defeated Erin Michalisin, 6-1, 2-6, 6-0, at first singles. Moerschbacher topped Katie McClure at number two singles, 6-0, 6-1. And Castillo won in the third spot, 6-1, 6-3, over Maggie Leuzarder.
