WARRIOR WOMEN’S TENNIS
DOMINATES DREW
MADISON, NJ –
The Lycoming College women’s tennis team traveled to Drew
University Saturday afternoon and returned home with an 8-1 victory. The
win improves the Warriors’ mark to 4-1 overall and 3-1 within the MAC
Freedom Conference.
All three Lycoming
doubles teams were winners. Cricket Temple (Jr./Hughesville, PA;
Hughesville) and Meredith Moerschbacher (Jr./Montoursville, PA;
Montoursville) teamed up at first doubles for an 8-1 win. Heidi von
Schwedler (So./Tannersville, PA; Pocono Mountain) and Pamela Zeger
(Fr./Potomac, MD; Winston Churchill) tallied an 8-0 win in the second
position. Sara Deardorff (Sr./North Wales, PA; North Penn) and Alissa
Brown (Fr./Hughesville, PA; Hughesville) rounded out the doubles sweep
with an 8-6 victory.
Temple, Moerschbacher,
von Schwedler, Brown and Zeger all added wins in singles action to bring
the final team score to 8-1.
The Warriors return to
action on Monday when they host DeSales University.
