Women Lose Nail Biter to Hood                                             Bennett Grabs Four Saves

FREDERICK, Md.—On Saturday, Lycoming (4-9-1) traveled out of state to face a hot Hood team (9-4-1) that has won five games in a row. The Lady Warriors battled, but ultimately fell by a score of 1-0.

Lycoming held the Blazers to nine shots all day, a total which is uncharacteristic for Hood. The Blazers have rested on their powerful offense lately, but found the Lady Warriors to be a pesky defensive squad. Goalie Jessica Bennett (Crofton, MD) made nine saves on the afternoon. However, Hood’s Kristina Rendon finally netted a score in the 66^th minute which proved to be the difference.

The Lady Warriors travel to Misericordia for a 7:00 p.m. match on October 24, then return to the friendly confines of Shangraw Athletic Complex on October 29 to take on DeSales. This will be Lycoming’s final game of the season. Six seniors will be celebrated at the DeSales match, which begins at 1:00 p.m.
