Lycoming Drops Conference Match to Drew

MADISON, NJ—The Lady Warriors suffered a 3-1 loss while visiting the Drew Rangers over the weekend. Lycoming’s overall record now stands at 3-8-1 (0-5 in conference) while Drew moves to 6-7-0 (2-3). 

Lycoming came on strong with freshman Samantha Jo Bell (Maple Shade, NJ) scoring an unassisted goal in the first period. The teams broke at the half with the score 1-0. In the second half, however, Drew netted three unanswered goals to turn out the lights on the Lady Warriors.

Lycoming got off eight shots for the game, while goalie Jessica Bennett (Crofton, MD) recorded 5 saves. Samantha Jo Bell led Lycoming with four shots; Stephanie Shearer (Reading, PA) had two. Drew countered with 19 shots and 3 saves.

The Lady Warriors look to improve their record when they take on King’s College at home on Monday, October 16, 2006.  This conference match-up starts at 3:00 p.m.
