Lady Warriors Lose in Overtime

Huntingdon, Pa. – Lycoming Lady Warriors played a tough 90 minutes and had the game go into overtime looking for the same result as their first game of the year.  Unfortunately Juniata Lady Eagles got that result by scoring in the first 2 minutes of overtime for a 1-0 victory.  It was the Lady Warrior’s first lost of the year with a record of 2-1 while Juniata improves to 4-1. 

            Freshman goalie Brie Pepe (Lafayette, N.J.) got her first college start as she went the distance making 6 saves to keep the Lady Warriors in the game.  The only goal she gave up was to Amanda Broadwell who put in a rebound after Pepe made the initial save. 

            Lycoming’s best scoring opportunity was in the 86^th minute when Rebekah Shipe (Northumberland, Pa.) had a nice shot, but was blocked. 

             Lady Warriors next home match is Sept. 16, when they take on Susquehanna University.  Match time is set for 11:00.
