Warriors Flat in Loss to Scranton

Williamsport, Pa. – Lycoming women’s soccer dropped its first league match of the season in a 4-0 loss to the University of Scranton on Wednesday night at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.  The Warriors fall to 6-3 overall, 1-1 in the Freedom Conference.

Lycoming mounted very few scoring opportunities during the contest, falling victim to flat play and a solid Royals’ defensive unit.

Senior Kaitlyn Prairie (Delran, N.J./Delran) had the best chance to score in Lycoming’s five minute flurry of offensive pressure prior to the intermission.  Prairie hit a first-touch volley from 22 yards out that nearly missed the far-post upper corner.

Scranton notched three of its goals in the first 45 minutes including the first of two from striker Jessica Beha.

Lycoming is next in action on Saturday, October 1, as the Warriors welcome Drew University to Williamsport.  Game time is set for 3:00 p.m.
