Lady Warriors Roughed Up by Wilkes

Williamsport, Pa. – Lycoming women’s soccer had tough go of it on Thursday afternoon as Wilkes University defeated the Warriors 4-0 at Wilkes.  Lycoming falls to 7-8 overall, 1-5 in Freedom Conference play.

The Warriors managed only one shot compared to 22 for the Colonels.  Wilkes also maintained a 10-1 edge in corner kicks.

The Colonels built a 3-0 lead before the half on goals from Jennifer Compton, Catherine Simone, and Christina Waldele.  All three scores came within the first 30 minutes of play.  Dana Lehman added the final tally in the 62^nd minute.

Lycoming looks to shake off this result with a victory on Senior Day against Hood College on Saturday, October 22.  Game time is set for 12:30 p.m. in Williamsport.
