WOMEN’S SOCCER FALLS TO SUSQUEHANNA IN OPENER
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College women’s soccer team
opened their season, Thursday afternoon, hosting Susquehanna
University. The Warriors fell behind 3-0 in the first half and
could not mount a comeback, falling to the Crusaders 5-0.
Jess
Paulshock recorded a hat-trick with three goals for Susquehanna,
while also tallying an assist. Lindsay Nevins added two goals.
Megan Deitmen, Trish Noel, Christine Anderson, and Jenna
Raffetto each posted one assist. Kim Wild went the distance in
goal for the Crusaders, making one save to claim the shutout.
Jessica
Bennett (Fr./Crofton, Md.; South River)
made eight saves in goal for Lycoming in her collegiate debut.
The Warriors
will play again on Wednesday, September 8, at Mount Aloysius
College. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m.
