WOMEN’S SOCCER FALLS TO SCRANTON
SCRANTON,
Pa. – The Lycoming College women’s soccer team traveled to the
University of Scranton, Tuesday evening, for a key Freedom
Conference match. The Warriors has trouble adjusting to the
artificial turf of the Royals’ field and fell by a score of 3-0.
Lycoming drops to 12-4-1 overall and 3-2-1 within the
conference. Scranton improves to 9-7-1 and 6-0.
The Royals
took a 1-0 lead in the first half when Kelly Klingman
successfully converted a penalty kick. Scranton added insurance
goals in the second half by Katrina Banfe and Jennifer Smith.
Jessica
Bennett (Fr./Crofton, Md.; South River)
made 12 saves in goal for the Warriors. Kim McCormick played 75
minutes in goal for the Royals and made one save. Ashley Brady
was in net for the final 15 minutes and made two saves.
Lycoming
travels to Drew University on Saturday, October 30, for their
final regular season match of the season. Kickoff for the game
is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
