LYCOMING WOMEN’S SOCCER SHUTS OUT LINCOLN

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Lycoming College women’s soccer team traveled to Lincoln University, Saturday afternoon, for a non-conference match. The Warriors dominated every aspect of the game, defeating the Lions 6-0. The victory boosts Lycoming’s overall record to 5-2.

Danielle Curry (Fr./West Chester, Pa.; East) led the Warriors with two goals and two assists in the contest. Amanda Rinesmith (Fr./Mechanicsburg, Pa.; Cedar Cliff) added one goal and one assist. Kaitlyn Prairie (Jr./Delran, N.J.; Delran), Angie Conklin (So./Shermansdale, Pa.; West Perry), and Beth Weixel (Sr./Mill Hall, Pa.; Central Mountain) each contributed one goal.

Jessica Bennett (Fr./Crofton, Md.; South River) started in goal for Lycoming and played 45 minutes without being forced to make a save. Mallory McDonald (Fr./Baltimore, Md.; Perry Hall) played the second half in net, making two saves to preserve the shutout.

The Warriors return home for their next match on Monday, September 27, when they host Cedar Crest College. The match will kick off at 4 p.m.
