WOMEN’S SOCCER HAS WINNING STREAK SNAPPED
HUNTINGDON,
Pa. – The Lycoming College women’s soccer team traveled to
Juniata College, Wednesday afternoon, for a non-conference
match. The Warriors gave up just one goal, but could not find
one of their own, falling for the first time in five outings by
a score of 0-1. Lycoming moves to 4-2 overall this season, while
the Eagles improve to 3-4-1.
The lone
goal of the contest came with just more than nine minutes
remaining when Juniata was awarded a direct kick from just
outside the box. Nikki McLellan capitalized for the home squad
sending the ball to the back of the net.
Jessica
Bennett (Fr./Crofton, Md.; South River)
played the entire game in goal for the Warriors, making five
saves.
Lycoming
will look to rebound and start a new winning streak on Saturday,
September 25, when they travel to Lincoln University.
