WARRIOR WOMEN’S SOCCER DOUBLES UP CHESTNUT HILL

DOWNINGTOWN, Pa. – The Lycoming College women’s soccer team traveled to Chestnut Hill College, Sunday afternoon, for a non-conference match. The Warriors scored a pair of second-half goals en route to a 2-1 victory over the Griffins. Lycoming improves to 2-1 on the season, while Chestnut Hill falls to 1-2.

Heather Weller (So./Mifflinburg, Pa.; Mifflinburg) got the Warriors on the board in the 59^th minute, scoring a goal off a corner kick from Kaitlyn Prairie (Jr./Delran, N.J.; Delran). The duo repeated their performance 24 minutes later as Prairie again found Weller on a corner kick and Weller put Lycoming ahead 2-0.

The Griffins ruined the shutout in the 89^th minute when Erin Bagdasarian found the back of the net.

Jessica Bennett (Fr./Crofton, Md.; South River) made six saves in goal for the Warriors.

Lycoming will play again on Thursday, September 16, when they travel to Baptist Bible College.
