LYCOMING WOMEN’S SOCCER SHUTS OUT JUNIATA

WILLIAMSPORT, PA – The Lycoming College women’s soccer team shut out Juniata College, Wednesday afternoon, 2-0. The Warriors improve their record to 3-3 overall, while the Eagles fall to 2-6 on the season.

Jennifer Mercer (So./Dushore, Pa.; Sullivan County) scored both goals for Lycoming. The first came at the 8:00 mark of the first half, getting the team off to a great start.  Angela Conklin (Fr./Shermansdale, Pa.; West Perry) recorded the assist. Mercer added her second score at the 71-minute mark, off an assist from Heather Weller (Fr./Mifflinburg, Pa.; Mifflinburg).

Beth Weixel (So./Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) played a solid game in goal making seven saves.

The Warriors next match in on Saturday, September 27, when they travel to Philadelphia Bible College.
