WARRIOR WOMEN’S SOCCER EXTENDS WINNING STREAK

WILKES-BARRE, PA – The Lycoming College women’s soccer team traveled to King’s College, Wednesday afternoon, for a Freedom Conference match. The Warriors shut the Monarchs out, 1-0, to pick up their fourth consecutive win overall and second within the conference. Lycoming is now 5-3 and 2-0 on the season. King’s falls to 2-9 and 0-2.

The Warriors got the only goal they would need in the 61^st minute of the contest. Kaitlyn Prairie (So./Delran, N.J.; Delran) recorded the goal off an assist from Heather Weller (Fr./Mifflinburg, Pa.; Mifflinburg).

Beth Weixel (Jr./Mill Hall, Pa.; Central Mountain) made three saves in goal for Lycoming.

The Warriors are in action again on Sunday, October 5, when they host Delaware Valley College for another conference match-up. Game-time is set for 1 p.m.
