WARRIOR WOMEN’S SOCCER FALLS TO DREW

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College women’s soccer team completed the 2003 season, Saturday afternoon, by hosting conference rival Drew University. The Warriors played the Rangers even for 85 minutes but a late goal gave Drew the 2-1 victory. Lycoming finished the season with an overall record of 7-8-1, while going 2-5 within the conference. The Rangers improved to 12-4-2 and 6-1 with the win.

Joanna Ale (Fr./Bound Brook, N.J.; Bound Brook) scored the Warriors’ lone goal with less than two minutes to play in the first half. Jen Mercer (So./Dushore, Pa.; Sullivan County) assisted on the play. Beth Weixel (Jr./Mill Hall, Pa.; Central Mountain) was in net for Lycoming. She made four saves in the match.
