WARRIOR WOMEN’S
SOCCER DEEATS KING’S
WILLIAMSPORT,
PA – The Lycoming College women’s soccer team hosted King’s
College, Monday afternoon, for a Freedom Conference match. The
Warriors jumped out to a 3-0 advantage and then hung on for the
3-2 victory.

(So./Mill Hall, PA; Central Mountain)
got things started for Lycoming late in the first half with a goal
off an assist by Kaitlyn Prairie (Fr./Delran, NJ; Delran).
The Warriors
went ahead 2-0 midway through the second period on a goal by
Angela Casselberry (Sr./Muncy, PA; Hughesville). Prairie
tallied her second assist of the game on the goal. Weixel then
added her second goal of the contest to stretch Lycoming’s lead to
3-0. Casselberry was credited with the assist.
Angie
Brewington (Sr./Benton, PA; Benton)
made four saves in 80 minutes in goal for the Warriors. Jody
Weir (Fr./Sunbury, PA; Shikellamy) made one save in her first
collegiate appearance at goal keeper.
Lycoming’s
next match in Wednesday, October 30, at Scranton.
