LYCOMING WOMEN’S SOCCER SHUTS OUT DESALES

WILLIAMSPORT, PA – The Lycoming College women’s soccer team picked up their second win of the season, Tuesday afternoon, shutting out DeSales University for a 1-0 victory. The Warriors are now 2-8 overall and 1-1 within the conference. The Bulldogs fall to 3-7 and 0-2.

Melissa Wert (Sr./Mifflinburg, PA; Mifflinburg) scored the game-winning goal for Lycoming in just the fifth minute of the contest. The goal was her fourth of the season. Kaitlyn Prairie (Fr./Delran, NJ; Delran) assisted on the play.

Angie Brewington (Sr./Benton, PA; Benton) recorded her first shutout of the season, making 13 saves in goal for the Warriors.

Lycoming travels to Delaware Valley College on Saturday, October 5, for another MAC Freedom Conference match up.
