LYCOMING WOMEN’S
SOCCER COMES UP SHORT VERSUS FDU-FLORHAM
WILLIAMSPORT,
PA – The Lycoming College women’s soccer team hosted FDU-Florham,
Saturday afternoon, for a Freedom Conference match-up. The
Warriors played nearly even with the Devils allowing just one
second half goal, but they could not find the back of the net
themselves eventually falling 1-0.
Meghan
Griswold scored the game’s lone goal for FDU-Florham. Ashleigh
Hoey assisted on the play.
Angie
Brewington (Sr./Benton, PA; Benton)
made eight saves in goal for Lycoming. Christine Ramos made six
stops in goal for the Devils.
“I’m extremely
proud of how we played today,” said Warrior head coach Scott
Kennell. “Even though we came up short this was the best game
we’ve played this season. We’ve worked hard as a team all season
and it’s starting to show in our performance on the field. If we
keep improving, the wins will come.”
Lycoming is in
action again on Tuesday, October 22, when they travel to Baptist
Bible College for a non-conference contest.
