Lycoming Sends Wrestlers to Regionals
Cullen leads Team Into the Postseason

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.--Head wrestling coach Roger Crebs is taking several Warrior wrestlers to Manchester, Indiana on Saturday, February 17 for the NCAA Midwest Regional Qualifier. The NCAA Division III National Tournament will be held in Dubuque, Iowa on the weekend of March 2-3.

Senior Sean Cullen (Cinnaminson, NJ) leads a tough squad of Lycoming grapplers. Cullen, who wrestles at 133 pounds, is no stranger to the NCAA Championships, having advanced the past two seasons. Last year, the senior got in as a wild card.

Freshman Joe Palmitessa (Scranton, PA) will make the trip to Manchester as a 125-pound competitor, while senior Kyle Hopkins (Milton, DE) goes at 141. At 149 pounds, junior Drew Barder (Millersburg, PA) joins freshmen  Chris Dahlheimer (Felton, PA) and Justin Waycaster (Watsontown, PA) at 157 and 174 pounds respectively.

Brothers Eric and Matt Miller (Muncy, PA) travel to Indiana to wrestle at 165 and 197 pounds, while sophomore Bryan Kopesky (Phillipsburg, NJ) and junior Troy Hansen (Westtown, NY) qualify as Lycoming's 184-pounder and heavyweight.

The Midwest Regional is run by the NCAA and the winners will advance directly to the national tournament. Look for results right here after 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, with the wild card bracket being finished at approximately 8:00 p.m.
