LYCOMING WRESTLERS COMPETE AT SCRANTON

SCRANTON, Pa. – Members of the Lycoming College wrestling team traveled to the University of Scranton, Sunday morning, to compete in a tournament. The Warriors won a pair of weight class titles and had a total of eight placewinners in the event. No team scores were compiled.

Mike Parisi (Fr./Easton, Pa.; Northampton) and Joe Ostrowski (Jr./Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; E.L. Meyers) led Lycoming by winning their respective weight classes. Parisi went 4-0 to claim the 149 pound championship. Ostrowski went 3-0 to win the heavyweight title.

Dwight Rhodeback (Jr./Lewisburg, Pa.; Lewisburg), Kyle Hopkins (So./Milton, Del.; Cape Henlopen), and Al Fluman (Sr./Gettysburg, Pa.; Gettysburg) each added second-place finishes. Rhodeback was 3-1 at 125 pounds, Hopkins was 3-0 at 149 pounds, and Fluman was 2-1 at 197 pounds.

Other Warriors placewinners, included: Justin Hoffacker (Jr./New Oxford, Pa.; Bermudian Springs) – 3^rd at 197; Matt Miller (Fr./Muncy, Pa.; Montgomery) – 5^th at 174 pounds; and Eric Miller (So./Muncy, Pa.; Montgomery) – 6^th at 165 pounds.

Lycoming returns to their dual-match schedule on Monday, December 6, when they host Ithaca College. The match will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Lamade Gymnasium.
