WARRIOR GRAPPLERS FALL TO SHIPPENSBURG IN DUAL MATCH

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Lycoming College wrestling team traveled to Division II Shippensburg University, Friday evening, for a non-conference dual match. The Warriors won four of the ten bouts, but ultimately fell to the Raiders 31-12. Lycoming drops to 9-5 in dual matches this season, while Shippensburg improves to 4-2.

Kyle Hopkins (Fr./Milton, Del.; Cape Henlopen) was the first Warrior to record a victory, winning by a 9-4 decision at 133 pounds. Jason Smith (Fr./Hughesville, Pa.; Hughesville) added a 4-0 decision at 157 pounds. At 174 pounds, Kevin Colton Craig (Jr./Flanders, N.J.; West Morris Mendham) won by a 7-0 decision. And finally at heavyweight, Tommy Snyder (So./New Columbia, Pa.; Milton) won by a 4-3 decision.

Lycoming will compete again on Friday, January 23, when they travel to King’s College for a Middle Atlantic Conference dual match.
