WARRIOR GRAPPLERS SHUTOUT ELIZABETHTOWN

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Lycoming College wrestling team traveled to Elizabethtown College, Saturday morning, for a Middle Atlantic Conference dual match. The Warriors won every bout for an easy 49-0 victory. Lycoming improves to 6-4 overall and 3-0 within the MAC.

Jared Weller (Sr./Philipsburg, Pa.; Philipsburg-Osceola) got the Warriors started with a 13-5 major decision at 125 pounds. Sean Cullen (So./Cinnaminson, N.J.; Cinnaminson) followed with a first-period pin at 133.

John Ambs (Sr./Mt. Joy, Pa.; Donegal) picked up a 6-3 decision at 141 pounds and Mike Parisi (Fr./Easton, Pa.; Easton) added a 19-3 technical fall at 149 pounds. At 157 pounds, Sean Reese (Sr./Milton, Pa.; Milton) recorded a 4-1 decision. Derek Crane (Sr./Elizabethtown, Pa.; Elizabethtown) contributed a 14-5 major decision at 174 pounds.

Scott Hays (So./Yeagertown, Pa.; Indian Valley), Troy Hansen (Fr./Westtown, N.Y.; Minisink Valley), Al Fluman (Sr./Gettysburg, Pa.; Gettysburg), and Justin Hoffacker (Jr./New Oxford, Pa.; Bermudian Springs) each accepted forfeits for Lycoming at 165, 184, 197, and heavyweight, respectively.

The Warriors are now off until January 8, 2005, when they will host the Pennsylvania/New York Duals.
