WARRIOR WRESTLING RANKED 13^TH IN PRESEASON POLL

WILLIAMSPORT, PA – The National Wrestling Coaches Association has released the Brute/Adidas Preseason National Rankings and Lycoming College appears at 13^th.

Last season, the Warriors went 20-5 overall in dual matches and 6-1 against Middle Atlantic Conference opponents. Lycoming went on to qualify two wrestlers for the NCAA Division III National Championships and place 25^th in the nation as a team.

Individually, Mike Waldron (Jr./Williamsport, Pa.; Loyalsock) is ranked fifth in the nation at 141 pounds, according to the preseason poll. Waldron is a two-time All-American, placing fifth at 133 pounds last season and fourth the season before.

Fellow MAC schools Delaware Valley College and King’s College are also ranked in the coaches’ poll. The Aggies are ranked 6^th and the Monarchs are ranked 16^th.

The Warriors open the 2003-2004 campaign on November 7-8, when they travel to Ithaca College for a tournament.
