WARRIOR WRESTLING RANKED 14^TH IN NATIONAL PRESEASON POLL 

WILLIAMSPORT, PA – The Lycoming College wrestling team has been ranked 14^th nationally in the Brute-Adidas National Wrestling Coaches Association Pre-Season Poll.

The Warriors finished the 2001-2002 season with a record of 21-4 in dual meets and ranked 13^th in the final coaches’ poll. Lycoming qualified three wrestlers for the NCAA Division III National Championships and finished 17^th as a team.

Those three wrestlers are also ranked among the top eight student-athletes in their respective weight classes in the preseason poll. Mike Waldron (So./Williamsport, PA; Loyalsock), an All-American and MAC champion in 2002, is the top ranked wrestler at 133 pounds. Andy Squires (So./Clearfield, PA; Clearfield), an MAC champion in 2002, is ranked seventh at 141 pounds. And Jon Neve (Jr./Norristown, PA; Germantown Academy), also an MAC champion in 2002, is ranked sixth at 197 pounds.
