WRESTLING PLACES NINE INDIVIDUALS AT BLOOMSBURG TOURNAMENT
BLOOMSBURG, Pa.
– The Lycoming College wrestling team traveled to Bloomsburg
University on Saturday to compete in a tournament. The Warriors
placed 5th as a team and had nine individuals place in
their weight.
Michael
Waldron (So./Williamsport, PA; Loyalsock)
was Lycoming’s top finisher, claiming the 133-pound
championship. Jeff Tierney (Jr./Blairstown, NJ; North Warren
Regional) added a second-place finish at 184 pounds, and Nate
Niman (Sr./Newport, PA; Newport) picked up a third in the
133-pound weight class.

Hunsberger (Fr./Moon Township, PA; Moon) placed fourth at 125
pounds and Derek Crane
(Fr./Elizabethtown, PA; Elizabethtown)
placed fourth at 165 pounds. Sean Reese (Fr./Milton, PA;
Milton) and Al Fluman (Fr./Gettysburg, PA; Gettysburg)
contributed fifth place finishes at 141 pounds and 197 pounds. Matt Hoffman (So./Sunbury, PA; Shamokin) and Kevin
Colton Craig (Fr./Chester, NJ; West Morris Mendham) rounded
out the Warrior place winners with a pair of sixth places at 133
and 165 pounds.
“We
wrestled well today,” said Lycoming Head Coach Roger Crebs.
“We made some mistakes, but it gave the guys an idea of where we
need to be and what we need to work on over the break.”
