LACROSSE WINS HOOD COLLEGE TOURNAMENT
FREDERICK, Md.
– Senior goalie Jessica Miller (Emmaus; Emmaus) recorded
her second shutout of the season, Sunday afternoon, as the
Lycoming College women’s lacrosse team defeated host Hood
College, 18-0, to win the Hood Tournament championship. The win
improved the Warriors’ record to 8-4, equaling the most
single-season wins in the program’s history.
Brenda
MacPhail (Sr./Newtown Square; Marple Newtown)
and Heather Wilt (Sr./Wyoming; Dallas Senior) paced
Lycoming with three goals each. Hillary Barrett
(Sr./Collegeville; Perkiomen Valley), Lauren Evangelist
(Fr./Perkiomen; Boyertown) and Colleen Kenyon (Jr./Milmont
Park; Ridley Senior) all added two goals apiece.
Miller made
three saves in goal.
The Warriors
return to Middle Atlantic Conference action on Thursday, April 12
when they travel to Messiah College.
