LYCOMING WOMEN’S LACROSSE RETURNS TO WIN COLUMN

FREDERICK, Md. – Brenda MacPhail (Sr./Newtown Square; Marple Newtown) scored five goals and assisted on four others to lead the Lycoming College women’s lacrosse team to a 16-7 win over Stevens Institute of Technology at the Hood College Tournament, on Saturday. The win improves the Warriors’ record to 7-4 on the season.

In addition, to the offensive production from MacPhail, freshman Lauren Evangelist (Perkiomen; Boyertown) added four goals. Senior Heather Wilt (Wyoming; Dallas Senior) chipped in three scores and two assists. Colleen Kenyon (Jr./Milmont Park; Ridley Senior) scored two goals and Hillary Barrett (Sr./Collegeville; Perkiomen Valley) tallied a goal and an assist.

With the win, Lycoming will advance to the championship game of the tournament against Hood College, tomorrow afternoon.
