LYCOMING WOMEN’S LACROSSE DOUBLES UP MONTCLAIR STATE

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College women’s lacrosse team snapped a two-game skid with a convincing 12-6 victory over Montclair State University, Tuesday afternoon. The non-conference win improved the Warriors’ record to 6-3 on the year. The Red Hawks fell to 5-5 with the loss.

Lycoming jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first ten minutes of the game on goals by Darlene Moyer (Sr./York; York Central), Judy Pane (So./Saint James, NY; Smithtown), Lauren Evangelist (Fr./Perkiomen; Boyertown) and Heather Wilt (Sr./Wyoming; Dallas Senior).

Montclair got on the board when Kristen Miskey scored with 12:36 to play in the opening half. The Warriors, however, regained their four-goal advantage as Wilt tallied her second goal before the half.

Lycoming extended their lead to 11-2 in the early part of the second half before the Red Hawks had a burst of three goals in just 90 seconds. The offensive push was a little too late for Montclair as the Warriors held on for the 12-6 win.
