Wallenhorst, Peacock Honored by MAC… Again!
Lycoming Laxers Tops for Second Week in a Row

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.– After defeating nationally-ranked Messiah last week, two Lycoming women’s lacrosse players were named Player of the Week and Defender/Goalie of the Week by the Middle Atlantic Conference. Junior attack Megan Wallenhorst (Rochester, NY) and junior goalie Kristina Peacock (Webster, NY) took these respective honors for the second week in a row while helping the Lady Warriors maintain a perfect record (5-0, 1-0).

Lycoming’s sole game was a 16-11 handling of #13 Messiah. Wallenhorst finished the contest with four goals and an assist, while controlling seven draws. Between the pipes, Peacock took the victory with eight saves and six ground balls.

Wallenhorst, only five games into the season, has posted a team-high 20 goals and 25 points. Peacock has logged 292:28 minutes in the net with 48 saves. Lycoming hopes to crack the IWLCA Top-20 this week. 

This Saturday the Lady Warriors will take on another MAC opponent, FDU-Florham, at 1:00 p.m. at Shangraw Athletic Complex.
