Wallenhorst Earns All-America Honors
Junior Led Lady Warriors with 66 Goals in 2007

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—Lycoming lacrosse player Megan Wallenhorst (Rochester, NY) was named third team 2007 Division III All-America by womenslacrosse.com. Wallenhorst, a junior attacker, led the Lady Warriors with 66 goals on the year.

Following Lycoming’s 14-4 season, Wallenhorst won the Lady Warriors’ Best Offensive Player Award for the third year in a row. She recorded 80 points in 2007 and made second team All-MAC and first team IWLCA All-Region.

In Lycoming’s first round MAC playoff game, Wallenhorst became the school’s all-time leading goal-scorer when she netted her 171^st career goal. She scored six times in the game and then scored six more goals in the Lady Warrior’s second round loss.

Wallenhorst recorded a personal season-high eight goals against Scranton on March 29. She was twice named Middle Atlantic Conference Player of the Week and was awarded the 2007 Sol “Woody” Wolfe Award as Lycoming’s top junior athlete at the College's Honors Convocation. She will lead a formidable Lady Warrior offense in 2008.
