WARRIOR WOMEN’S LACROSSE FALLS TO ELIZABETHTOWN

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Lycoming College women’s lacrosse team traveled to Elizabethtown College, Thursday afternoon, for a Middle Atlantic Conference match. The Warriors jumped out to a 3-0 lead during the first five minutes of the game, but could not hold on as the Blue Jays came back for an 18-10 win. Lycoming drops to 3-3 overall and 1-2 within the MAC. Elizabethtown improved to 4-4 and 2-1.

The Warriors were led by Heather Suit (Fr./Annapolis, Md.; Broadneck) who scored four goals and assisted on another. Erica Likens (Sr./Bel Air, Md.; Bel Air) added three goals, while Megan Wallenhorst (Fr./Rochester, N.Y.; Irondequoit), Erin Robinson (Jr./West Hartford, Conn.; Kingswood-Oxford), and Erin Dillon (So./Bayside, N.Y.; Saint Francis Prep) each tallied one goal.

Kristina Peacock (Fr./Webster, N.Y.; Webster-Thomas) started the game in goal for Lycoming and made eight saves while giving up 11 goals in the first half. Ashley Meyer (Fr./Pittsford, N.Y.; Pittsford-Sutherland) was in net for the second half. She made four saves and allowed seven goals.

The Warriors will travel to Drew University for their next contest on Saturday, April 9.
