LYCOMING WOMEN’S LACROSSE DEFEATS MORAVIAN

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College women’s lacrosse team hosted Moravian College, Wednesday afternoon. The Warriors jumped out to a 5-0 lead and never looked back, defeating the Greyhounds 16-8. Lycoming is now 3-2 overall this season and 1-1 within the MAC, while Moravian falls to 2-5 and 1-3.

Erika Likens (Sr./Bel Air, Md.; Bel Air) led the Warriors with seven goals and four assists.  Megan Wallenhorst (Fr./Rochester, N.Y.; Irondequoit) added four goals and one assist, while Heather Suit (Fr./Annapolis, Md.; Broadneck) chipped in three goals and an assist. Laura Seifert (Jr./Jarrettsville, Md.; Notre Dame Prep) and Kelly Shpunt (Jr./Newton, Conn.; Newton) each contributed one goal. 

Kristina Peacock (Fr./Webster, N.Y.; Webster-Thomas) played for the full game in goal for Lycoming.  Peacock had 11 saves and eight goals against.

The Greyhounds were led by Erica Spatz, Rebecca Schol, and Lindsey Lustrino who each contributed two goals. Jess Cordani added one goal and one assist.  Robyn Klem added one goal.

The Warriors will travel to Elizabethtown College for their next game on Thursday, April 7. The contest will begin at 4 p.m.
