WARRIOR WOMEN’S LACROSSE SUFFERS LOSS IN SEASON-OPENER

WELLINGTON, Fla. – The Lycoming College women’s lacrosse team opened their season, Wednesday morning, versus Catholic University while on spring break in Wellington, Florida. The Warriors struggled in their first outing, falling to the Cardinals, 15-2. Catholic improves to 1-1 with the victory.

Erica Likens (Sr./Bel Air, Md.; Del Air) and Megan Wallenhorst (Fr./Rochester, N.Y.; Irondequoit) accounted for Lycoming’s goals. Heather Suit (Fr./Annapolis, Md.; Broadneck) assisted on the Wallenhorst score.

Kristina Peacock (Fr./Webster, N.Y.; Webster-Thomas) went the distance in goal for the Warriors, making 10 saves.

Lycoming will try for their first win of the season on Friday, March 4, when they take on Gwynedd-Mercy College, again in Wellington, Florida.
