LYCOMING WOMEN’S LACROSSE SUFFERS LOSS AT WIDENER

CHESTER, Pa. – The Lycoming College women’s lacrosse team traveled to Widener University, Saturday afternoon, for a Middle Atlantic Conference match-up. The Warriors fell behind early in the first half and could not recover, falling to the Pioneers, 8-15. Lycoming drops to 3-6 overall and 1-5 within the MAC. Widener improves to 6-4 and 5-2.

Heather Suit (Fr./Annapolis, Md.; Broadneck) led the Warriors with three goals in the game. Megan Wallenhorst (Fr./Rochester, N.Y.; Irondequoit) added two goals and two assists, while Erica Likens (Sr./Bel Air, Md.; Bel Air) added two goals and one assist. Kristen Dart (Sr./Saratoga, N.Y.; Saratoga Springs) rounded out the scoring for Lycoming with a goal and an assist.

Ashley Meyer (Fr./Pittsford, N.Y.; Pittsford Sutherland) went the distance in goal for the Warriors. She made 14 saves and allowed 15 goals.

Lycoming will play again on Wednesday, April 20, when they host Messiah College at 4 p.m.
